IPL Photorejuvenation / Fraxel
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Skin Therapy
Lighten sun damaged skin, red and brown age spots and rosacea, as well as acne scars. IPL, or photorejuvenation treatment is safe and fast, and typical results can be seen in 1-3 treatments
Those who have redness or broken capillaries, light acne scars, sun damage, rosacea, hyperpigmentation and vascular changes will benefit from IPL treatments.
How it Works
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a safe burst of light that stimulates collagen and makes the skin look younger, while improving skin’s overall texture. The light penetrates the outer layer of skin and the deeper layer of skin cells is heated gently. These cells, once heated, produce more collagen which helps to improve fine lines and wrinkles. The treatment only takes about 15-20 minutes, and can be done over a lunch break.
IPL Photofacials can make a remarkable difference over time improving overall firmness. A brief period of redness is the most common side effect, which can be covered by makeup or powder until redness subsides – usually within an hour. Following an IPL treatment, your skin will look brighter, younger and firmer – you’ll notice that your overall texture has improved and your skin tone has evened out. After the IPL procedure stay out of the sun for 2-4 weeks (and no self-tanning) while skin heals completely.
Fraxel is an FDA-approved laser treatment that uses a laser energy (vs. a light energy like an IPL treatment) to reduce acne scars, stretch marks, surgical scars, fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage and skin pigmentation issues.
Fraxel is suitable for all skin types, and is an excellent option for someone who has acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage and skin pigmentation issues – as well as stretch marks.
How it Works
Fraxel involves few risks with little to no recovery. Results are visible after the first treatment and continue to improve until maximum results are achieved. Fraxel restore is the original.
It is non-ablative, heats the skin in pixilated columns that results in collagen stimulation over time, resulting in improvement of fine to moderate lines and wrinkles, and improvement in skin pigmentation (as well as tone and texture).
Fraxel will increase collagen production, promoting cell rejuvenation along with skin tightening, and you’ll notice smoother, more even skin.
Key advantages of Fraxel Laser Treatment compared to surgical procedures are:
Price per treatment: $550 per treatment, or 3 treatments for $1,000.
